This week saw the de-commitment of guard Adante Holiman from the University of Tulsa. Prior to his pledge to the Golden Hurricane, the 2022 McAlester (OK) and Next Page Force (AR) guard considered several notable programs: Akron, Arizona, Arizona State, DePaul, Saint Louis and South Alabama. Following the announcement, Holiman has received renewed interest from Akron and South Alabama while also beginning to hear from Columbia, Howard, Liberty and Texas Tech.
The immediate interest Holiman has drummed up is understandable. Not only is a 4-star guard back on the market, but he’s improved his repertoire and development to be a more efficient and lethal weapon on the court. When previously evaluating Holiman’s game, his awareness on both ends of the floor, ability to consistently score from the perimeter and create plays for his teammates from the paint particularly stood out. These remain vital areas of his approach, but it’s obvious he’s turned the corner and can do more damage.
