As was detailed in the evaluation of guard Keeley\nParks<\/a>, it\u2019s rare for middle school players on both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s\nsides to display incredibly well-refined skillsets this early in their\ndevelopment. However, there are always exceptions to the rule and the state of\nOklahoma has yet another gem in plain sight set to grace the top end of the\nnational rankings when it\u2019s all said and done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Class of 2025 guard Keziah Lofton has already proven herself\nto be a winner and player capable of taking over games for her team. A 3-time national\ngrassroots champion, in 3 attempts, Lofton has created the pedigree and experience\nDivision 1 programs are yearning to add to their programs. Yet, it\u2019s the\ncontinued development and determination she has added to her game that should\ncontinue to excite college powerhouses in the coming seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lofton fills the stat sheets across the board and is a tough\nplayer to gameplan for. She readily adjusts to defensive schemes and finds ways\nto make impact plays for herself to produce or set up her teammates for\nsuccess. Looking further into her overall skillset and impact on the court\nreveals why colleges are and will certainly continue to hope Lofton joins their\nprogram rather than suiting up across from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Primary Offensive Creation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lofton is able to provide immediate danger and concern for opposing defenses with her capabilities as a primary ball-handler. She has tremendous size on the floor, especially in the backcourt, that creates matchup difficulties and concerns for shutting down her ability to score the ball. Her frame is strong and Lofton is more than ready to take on contact should it occur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside of her effective physical attributes on the floor,\nLofton has a skilled arsenal of ball-handling moves to put defenses on edge.\nShe has a quick crossover to get by her initial defenders and understanding of\npace to get by secondary and tertiary-level defenders who may adjust to her\nposition. Lofton has proven time and again, even against top competition, that\nthese traits are more than enough for her to create adequate space to survey\nthe floor on the move and find opportunities to make plays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s more, Lofton has a pronounced ability to successfully\noperate offensively off of what the defense does. She attacks driving lanes,\ncreates mismatches for herself and has little issue nailing pull-up jumpers\nfrom the midrange or perimeter. The consistency with which she is able to\neffectively convert these plays is why she is such a dangerous asset for her\nteam on the court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
