4* San Antonio Spurs -6 @ Washington Wizards — The Spurs we’re embarrassed in Denver on Wednesday and looked rather lost without Gregg Popovich manning the sidelines. I expect this team to come out much more composed and in sync to solidify the 7th spot for the playoffs.
4* Detroit Pistons @ Oklahoma City Thunder – U214.5 — If Blake Griffin does not play tonight, due to a knee injury, the Pistons offense is likely to stutter against one of the premier defensive teams in the NBA favoring the Under. Additionally, these teams have trended towards falling below the total despite healthy rosters.
4* Sacramento Kings +10.5 @ Utah Jazz — Most teams struggle with the altitude in Salt Lake City and are easily exhausted. However, the Kings are one of the few squads in the NBA with the collective athleticism to hang with the Jazz. This is too many points for me, despite Sacramento being officially eliminated from the playoff race. They’re still playing hard, as evidenced by their double-digit win over Cleveland last night.
3* New Orleans Pelicans -2.5 @ Phoenix Suns — While this line seems a bit ‘trap-ish,’ I am going to roll with the Pelicans in this matchup. The line is lower than I’d expect, but the Suns have largely been competitive lately thanks to Devin Booker. Booker has since been shut down for the rest of the season and should cause Phoenix to fall back a bit on the offensive end.
5* Cleveland Cavaliers @ Golden State Warriors -15.5 — The Cavs were torched by the Kings last night and now get a matchup with the defending champs. It’s going to be hard to expect this game to be close. Cleveland should get blown out again and fairly quickly.
5* Atlanta Hawks @ Orlando Magic – U226.5
3* Miami Heat -2 @ Minnesota Timberwolves
