Picks of the Day – 4/14/2019

3* Indiana @ Boston – O209.5 – While these two teams are known for finding ways to shut down opposing offenses, the Celtics have managed to put up points on the Pacers. As such, I expect Boston to begin building momentum towards a first round win. Indiana have missed having Victor Oladipo around, but they have the tools to keep up with Boston specifically sharpshooter Bojan Bogdanovic.

5* Detroit Pistons @ Milwaukee Bucks -12.5 – The Pistons have been vastly overmatched against opponents of the Bucks caliber this season. That trend should continue today, especially since Blake Griffin is still nursing a knee injury and won’t be playing at full strength. If Detroit falls behind early, there may be a chance of Griffin getting pulled from the game to rest for Game 2.

4* Utah Jazz @ Houston Rockets – U215 – The Jazz and Rockets met last year in the playoffs and provided a fun series. This year should be no different and these teams know each other and match tendencies to strengths fairly well. Both teams do a decent job of defending the 3-pt line, which Houston shoots more than any other team in the NBA. Utah on the other hand has not shot the outside shot well against the Rockets this season and could force a slow pace in this matchup to find more quality looks.
